This was My Birthday

When my aunt passed away in 1990, my cousin found an envelope addressed to me among her things and sent it off to me.  It was what I call a "Time Bomb", one that exploded in my face some forty years after the original events.

It's all below the fold.

Aunt Dorothy, I found, had written a full narrative of what had happened.  It seems my step-mother, Martha, had only given me the bare outline.

As near as I can tell, Mom and Dad had been married two years and one week when we were born.

I'm guessing that "Aunt Edna" was Aunt Dorothy's sister.

And that was my birthday.
